ams02
Every time I try to setup the Exchange login info (Configure->Volumes->Exchange Server), I get a buffer overrun and Retrospect crashes. I have tried both with and without other retrospect scripts running. Nothing else is running on this server. I was able to select to apply the license without any login info, however that doesn't really help any. Please help! This is Retrospect Multi Server 7.5.370, update/HF 7.5.10.104. Here is the last entry from assert_log.utx: OS: Windows Server 2003 version 5.2 (build 3790), Service Pack 1, (32 bit) Application: C:\Program Files\Retrospect\Retrospect 7.5\Retrospect.exe, version 7.5.370 Driver Update and Hot Fix version 7.5.10.104 Exception occurred on 4/13/2007 at 8:36:49 AM Error info: Assertion failure at "elem.cpp-986" Exception code: e0000000 ASSERTION Fault address: 77e55e02 0001:00014e02 (null) Thread ID: e00, Name: RetroFrameThread EAX:01d05b7c CS:6061001b EIP:77e55e02 EFlags:00000206 EBX:00000002 SS:0023 ESP:01d05b78 EBP: 01d05bcc ECX:00000000 DS:1d0023 ESI:01d05c0c FS: 1dd003b EDX:00000001 ES:60630023 EDI:01d05c0c GS: 60600000 Module Fn (symbol or seg:offset in DLL) Args =============== ================================= ================ Module Fn (symbol or seg:offset in DLL) Args ntdll.dll 0001:0002dd54 181e880 0
AmyJ
Please see if new configuration files resolves the issue. Go to: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data and rename the Retrospect directory. Launch Retrospect, enter your license code(s) and see if you are able to access Exchange without the assert. Also, provide the version of Exchange. ams02
This also happened trying to login to the licensed SQL server. Recreating the configuration files worked and I was able to login for the Exchange backup, however I do need all of the backup sets/scripts/clients that were already set up. (Exchange version is 2003.)
