cooch
Version 6.1.126 G5 and G4 both running OSX 10.4.8 FTP passive mode Having wierd ftp connect problems. I have several macs networked through a linksys router; all can connect fine via an ftp client (like fetch) to the one computer we are using for backup. I have set up one G4 to backup using retrospect ftp option, and it works fine. However, I can not get the G5 to work even when set up identically. If I try to configure the ftp connection, I get the "This might take a while" message with no final connection (just a spinning beach ball). I have had this working before, but we just upgraded that box to Tiger and now nothing. Any suggestions on where to start? Thanks!
cooch
I just noticed that the backup set gets created on the destination drive, and the first file called 0-data, but then the system hangs. Any thoughts? (BTW; did I post this in the right forum?)
