My XP SP2 laptop was involved in an accident and had several bottles of red wine crash over it after it had been knock onto a concrete floor from 4' up. It is now totally dead. The drive was removed and tested on another machine and cannot be read from. Fortunately I had made a full disaster-recovery backup of the entire drive including the DR CD image the night before using Retrospect Express 6.5. I have a HUGE number of 3rd party applications installed on the dead laptop and want to avoid having to reinstall them one-by-one. How do I successfully recover the DR image backup to a new laptop when the new laptop will not have the same Microsoft XP license key?
