Automated Client Install

Hello all,

 

I want a completely silent install of the client via a GPO, or Script Logic, etc.

 

Anybody have experience doing this?

I agree. I am not sure if the Retrospect 7.5 clients are considered Retrospect Professional, but the principal should be the same. In particular, I don't see a way to get the client password into the process from a command line.

I may have my own answer ... Have not tested yet though ... It seems that on the Rero server you can gen a publc/private key pair .... the public key is then put intoi a custom distro of the client installer .... From a wp:

 

Copy the pubkey.dat file from

“C:\Documents and Settings\All

Users\Application

Data\Retrospect” to the

public_key folder in the

Retrospect Client for Windows

Installer directory.
