synergie
I would like to know how i can build a script that regularly archives the most recent copies of all files in a backup set on a DVD, then clears all versions of those files from the same backup set. twickland
While you can perform the archiving function you describe, creating an additional copy of the files, you cannot delete individual files from a backup set; it's all (i.e., a recycle backup) or none. synergie
That's unfortunate. It would really help to maintain a file backup system. My plan was to backup to a file backup on a hard disk then purge on DVD the latest versions of the stuff that hasn't been used for some time.
