sejp
I used Retrospect 7.5 to backup a new notebook to an external Maxtor Onetouch USB drive. The backup went fine as did the creation of the ISO CD using the i386 directory of the notebook recovery partition but when I tested the Disaster Recovery CD, Retrospect could not recognize the external drive, only the notebook drives. Symantec Internet Security was probably open during the backup. I am using Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005 and Retrospect 7.5.6.105 Is there some way to verify an external drive will be recognized before actually entering the Disaster Recovery process? Many thanks
jelenko
When first booting the Retro Disaster Recovery CD does not install USB drivers. You have to cancel the from the first boot. Retro will then install a more complete OS from which you should be able to see/use USB drives.
