jeffr
Last summer I bought retrospect express 5.5 for windows 2000 professional and used a hitachi dvd-ram gf-2050 drive (from LaCie, with a pcmcia scsi connection) to make several backup sets on 9.4 gb (4.7 gb/side) dvd-rams discs. Now I want to restore one file from a backup set, and after I select the right backup set and find the file and choose "restore", I am asked to insert the appropriate disk--but when I do so it still reads "no media". Retrospect seems to recognize the dvd-ram drive (it lists it under "enviroment" tab), and it certainly wrote to it fine last summer, so I am puzzled. (Two things I have done: upgraded to 5.6 and read the note about having a disk already in the dvd-ram drive when starting up retrospect, which I also do.) Any suggestions would be appreciated (and sorry if this is a stupid question)
