State Information Not Restored, can't access Snapshot ???

Hi Everyone

 

I have tried to restore from my Maxtor drive and I get the above error message at the end of the restore. The restore seems to have worked partially. However, there are items hanging around on the computer that were installed after the last backup. The registry and desktop doesn't seem to have been restored to the last backup point.

 

After installing some software yesterday, my machine became trashed, hence the need to restore. After the restore, there is some improvement but, I am still encountering problems and it would appear that it might be because of the error message specified above and an incomplete restore.

 

Any suggestions would be appreciated. The version is Retrospect Backup Express 6.0.222 running on Windows 2000.
