Adding Volumes on Mac Client

Recommended Posts

I have a Windows NT 4 Server running Retrospect Server 5.5. Everything is working fine. I have many mac clients all being backed up successfully. I now have one mac that has two hard drives. The client software is installed on HD1, the files I want to backup are on HD2. I can see the second hard drive, but I can't add it to be backed up. Do I need to reinstall the client on HD2 in order for this to work?

What's not working about it specifically? Do you see both hard drives listed under the client in Configure > Volumes? If so, the second hard drive can be added as a source. You do not need to install client software on a secondary drive.

If you go to Configure > Clients and get properties on the Mac client, can you see both hard drives under the Volumes tab?
