gholton
I have several servers that use retrospect for backup. Most of them have the file mailsndr.exe in the ?:\programs files\dantz\retrospect folder for email notification. One of my servers does not, however. Before I go and copy the file from one of my other servers... I am wondering why it is not there? Is there a reason it did not get copied during the initail installation? Can anyone offer any advise? Thanks, Glenn gholton@vtiboston.com
AmyJ
Earlier versions of Retrospect did not do a "comlete" install by default. Only basic components were installed. You can re-run your installer and select the option to do a complete install for access to the external scripts.
gholton
Thanks for your reply.. the interesting thing about this particular installation of retrospect is that the batch file "RetroEventHandler.bat" is installed on the server in the c:\program files\dantz\retrospect\email handler directory. If I place this file (after editing my parameters) and a copy of mailsndr.exe from on of my other Retro 5.6 installations.. will email notification begin working? Thanks in advance....
