Tom_Roth
We're using the Server Edition of Retrospect 5.6 for Windows. Having just added a new Win2K Server to our network I installed the Retrospect Client to it. Then when I was in Retrospect I added it as a client but I also saw that I could access the new server by using the "Adding Network Volume" feature. Should I be using a Retrospect Client on the Win2K Server or should I just add it from the network using the "Adding Network Volume" feature? Is there any reason I should be using one method over the other?
AmyJ
In reply to: Should I be using a Retrospect Client on the Win2K Server . Absolutely! Retrospect cannot back up the registry, NTFS permissions or any system state information via Windows Network. For proper backup of the server, you must use the Client.
