JCvr
I have done a complete restore of my hard drive following a drive failure. Everything went smoothly except that now the permissions of my folders are all read only. I can uncheck the read only permission but it does not work and when I look at the permissions again the file is still read only. I am runing in Windows XP pro as an administrator. Also if I create new folders on the hard drive they default to read only. What makes it more confusing is that I can change the permissions of individual files and I can create new folders within the supposedly readonly folders. Has anyone any help/experience with this one? John
AmyJ
We haven't seen this issue. What if you log in as a different user on this machine? Can you properly create folders / files without the read-only flag? Which version of Retrospect was used for the backup? For the restore?
