dsenie
I have been using Retrospect 5.6 with good results on a Sony Laptop (PCG-Z505JS). However, I have been unable to get the disaster recovery CDs created by Retrospect to function on the machine. I am able to get the machine to boot from the CD drive (actually DVD drive), but it hangs after just a second after putting up a message WELCOME TORETROSPECT DISASTER RECOVERY. From then on, the LED on the drive flickers, but nothing ever proceeds. It sounds like the drive is being accessed, and the drive stays running, but even if I leave the machine in this state for an hour, Disaster Recovery never comes up. Any help for this? The disaster recovery is one of the key features of Retrospect. Without it functioning, the value of the product is diminished greatly.
