keithmccreery
Does anyone have any advise on how to get a backup to avoid hanging on the IIS metabase during the snapshot build of a backup? I am using Retrospect Workgroup for Windows on a Windows 2000 SP2 server. The backup is a recycled backup run as a script. It is a 50-50 chance that the backup will correctly build the snapshot of the server startup disk (which has retrospect installed). If I try to cancel the job, retrospect completely hangs and I have to kill the process. Once I kill the process, I usually have to re-license, my clients (a major pane in the rear) because of error -505 (client reserved). Does anyone know why retrospect hangs on the IIS metabase during the snapshot phase? Thanks, Keith McCreery
