bobsch Posted July 8, 2002 Report Share Posted July 8, 2002 I created a bootable CD for disaster recovery using roxio Easy CD. It has the appropriate files on it, bootcat.bin and bootimg.bin. My system can usually boot from CDs (a Win XP CD for example), but will not boot from this one. The BIOS announces: Boot from ATAPI CD-ROM 1: FD 1.44 MB System Type-(19) and then hangs. Reset is required. This a P-III system with the Abit ST6-R mother board and the latest BIOS version. Any ideas about what might be wrong?
