Guest
Each time I attempt an immediate incremental backup I am asked to insert the last disk of the set. The backup runs and I get error messages such as: + Retrospect Express version 5.6.132 Launched at 2/20/2002 4:46 PM + Retrospect Driver Update, version 2.6.106 + Executing Immediate Backup at 2/20/2002 4:47 PM To backup set Backup Set B... - 2/20/2002 4:47:46 PM: Copying Drive C (C:) TVol::SetLabel: USetVolumeLabel failed, D:\, winerr 154, error -1013 TVol::SetLabel: USetVolumeLabel failed, D:\, winerr 154, error -1013 File "C:\RECYCLED\NPROTECT\NPROTECT.LOG": can't read, error -1020 (sharing violation) 2/20/2002 5:09:08 PM: Snapshot stored, 18.7 MB 2/20/2002 5:09:48 PM: Comparing Drive C (C:) TVol::SetLabel: USetVolumeLabel failed, D:\, winerr 154, error -1013 Trouble reading: "9-Backup Set B" (840), error -206 (drive reported a failure: dirty heads, bad media, etc.) Additional error information for device "Sony CD-RW" [0:1], Sense > f0 00 03 00 01 c8 9b 12 00 00 00 00 11 05 00 00 00 00 (SONY |CD-RW CRX140E |1.0n) TVol::SetLabel: USetVolumeLabel failed, D:\, winerr 154, error -1013 2/20/2002 5:14:28 PM: 2 execution errors Remaining: 1 files, 326.2 MB Completed: 2547 files, 281.3 MB, with 11% compression Performance: 38.9 MB/minute (31.7 copy, 76.6 compare) Duration: 00:26:42 (00:03:51 idle/loading/preparing) Quit at 2/20/2002 5:26 PM I have a Dell 733, 256 MB, Sony CRX140E CD-RW & lots of HD space. I am using CD-R media. Running under Windows 98SE. When this occurs, I feel that I have corrupted the last disk of the set and have to make a new complete backup. How can I get accurate incrementals? Also, do I need to make a new Disaster Recovery Disk after each incremental, assuming I can make a successful one?
