Huntn
My goal is using Retrospect 5.1 to create a backup of my OS10.3 Partition on a DVD that is bootable so that in the event of catastrophic crash, I could boot from the backup CD and restore my OSX System. Can this be done? If so, a description or a link to an online source would be appreciated. Is there anything special that has to be done to make such a CD bootable? I discovered the downloadable bootable Retrospect disk image http://www.dantz.com/index.php3?SCREEN=kbase&ACTION=KBASE&id=28062 Based on my goals, after the image is burned to a CD, would you be able to boot off of this Retrospect CD, and restore your OSX System off DVD backup media using a single DVD/CD drive? In otherword, you boot off of the CD, start Retrospect, but the backup is stored on a DVD? And how about the backup catalog that is sitting on your hard drive somewhere? Is that a further complication if it is not accessible? Should this also be stored on a CD if that is possible? Thanks! -Dave
