My TDK disk does not show up on the screen when using Retrospect Express

Retrospect 5.0 fails to see my TDK cd-rw drive.The drive does not show up in Devices. Yet, when I use Roxio 5.1.3, it has no trouble finding the cd-rw drive, and backing up whatever I wish on cds.I am running 9.21 on a G4 with plenty of memory. The same problem occurs with panther 10.3.3. How can it be that Retrospect can't find the cd-rw drive, but Roxio can? Any Ideas? Thank you for your help. Lou
