danber Posted July 31, 2006 Report Share Posted July 31, 2006 I have been using Retrospect 6.1.126 with DVD+R media on an iMac G5 with the built-in Panasonic UJ-825 for a while now, but recently I've been unable to complete any backup operation. Late into the first DVD or somewhere into the second DVD, I get this error: Trouble writing: “1-Backup-2006” (3221225472), error 203 (hardware failure). Additional error information for device "Panasonic DVD+RW" [0:0], Sense > f1 00 04 00 1e 87 40 0a 00 2a 00 00 03 00 00 00 00 00 (MATSHITA|DVD-R UJ-825 |DBN7) (the sense varies from time to time) I have tried many DVDs from several manufacturers, but to no avail.
