jreffner
in order to Duplicate (not Back Up) an OS X drive, I've been told that you need to be booted under OS X when Duplicating via Retrospect Desktop in order to keep all of the permissions etc. on the OS X drive. Well, I have an OS 9 drive that I back up over TCP/IP with a Retrospect client. In order to duplicate it correctly (retain ALL settings/permissions), do I have to be booted under OS 9 (OR CAN I be booted under OS X at the time of the Duplication? Thanks, jim
AmyJ
An OS 9 system can successfully be duplicated while booted into OS X. The reverse is not true - an OS X system cannot be duplicated while booted into OS 9.
