250LWB
Would anyone know if current versions of Retrospect (both Mac and Windows versions) are compatible with an HP Surestore 12000 autoloader? I ahev a chance to pick up a nice used one for very little $$ but I don't want to waste my $$ on something that may not work. . . Thanks, 250LWB
AmyJ
This drive does not show up on the supported hardware list. Do you know what hardware mechanism is inside of the HP Surestore 12000? That is the key to determining if the drive is qualified. www.dantz.com/hardware
250LWB
I'm not totally sure what mechanism is in there but I *think* it's a Quantum. I did notice it has SCSI IDs for both the drive and autoloader, which is a good thing. . . Thanks, D
AmyJ
If you have Retrospect, you can go to Configure Devices > Device Status (or Environment on the PC). The vendor and product will tell you makes and models. You can check these against the device compatibility list, found at: www.dantz.com/hardware Otherwise, on the Mac, check your Apple System Profiler On the PC, check your Device Manager
