rcolley Posted February 14, 2006 Report Share Posted February 14, 2006 Hi We are running the latest version of Server 6.x for Mac on Xserve 10.4.3 with clients scattered over several subnets. We are having big problems with clients appearing and disappearing in the Backup Clients on the Network Window. It affects many subnets and all platforms of client (MAC OS 9, MAC OS X and PCs). We have seen something about altering the TTL (time to live) on the Server from its default of 1 but can find no info in the users manual about this. Multicasting is enabled on all our intermediate routers. We really need to solve this issue as it is preventing our computers from being logged in for backup or being available for backup.
