I need help reading my log

Recommended Posts

Here's a snippet from my log, that I think shows Retrospect loading the update twice. And when this happens it seems that Retrospect runs the same script twice and the first time it fails because "the catalog is locked". Then it proceeds to complete the script. I've rebuilt the script, and checked that only one Driver update is contained within the application folder. Any other thoughts?

thanks,

J

This has been a problem for a long time, although up until now the reports here have shown the Retrospect application loading twice; this is the first time I've seen the RDU loading twice.

This was supposidly addressed in a recent update (either the 6.1 application or a later RDU, I can't recall). But obviously from your observation it's still an outstanding issue.

Since it only happens on automatic launching, it's likely a problem with how Retrospect automatically launches (which is somewhat complex, as the program has to run as root). You're not doing anything wrong; this is a bug.
