Retrospect loads every tape in my tape library before performing task.

I am on Windows, using Retrospect 18.5.3.142. We have a Quantum 16 tape library with an LTO7 deck. The problem I am having is that when I restore files from tape, I know I don't have the tape I will need loaded, but I don't know exactly what tape that is until Retrospect loads every single tape that's in the library into the deck as if it's searching for the right tape, after it does that THEN it asks for the right tape. It does this for restores and for backups. Is there no way for it to remember which tapes are already in the library so it doesn't do this long process of loading 16 tapes every time? It wastes so much time before being able to restore or back anything up.
