ScottR
Hello, I am having trouble with an OnStream SC-50 drive. Retrospect Express does not show the device listed. It is listed in windows hardware, using OnStream's Driver 2.08. Any suggestions? Scott R. PS. The drive was working on a different system using Win 2000. ScottR
Ok. Tried it with Restrospect Desktop which does support the SC-50, and I still do not have the tape drive listed. Any help? Scott R.
AmyJ
Which version of Retrospect are you using? Go to Help > About Retrospect... Do you see the drive if you go to Configure > Devices > Environment? If so, what is listed for vendor, product and version?
ScottR
I am trying the Desktop Version 5.6.132 Only my IDE hard drives are listed. My SCSI CDR my SC50 is not listed under Retrospect. The CDR works under Win XP. And the SC50 is listed under hardware. Thanks, Scott R.
AmyJ
It's possible that the driver files have gotten corrupted during installation. Try uninstalling Retrospect, rebooting and reinstalling Retrospect. Can the drive be seen at that point?
videogen
I treid uninstalling and reinstalling, did not solve the problem. I d/led Adaptec's ASPI layer drivers for Win XP 4.71, rebooted and the Retrospect found the tape & CDR drives. Everything is working now. Thanks for your help. Scott R.
