djon Posted June 25, 2004 Report Posted June 25, 2004 Hi I have a 233mhz iMac and I have just upgraded to OS 10.3.4 and Retrospect 6. My problem is whenever I schedule a backup script to run when the computer is sleeping, it fails to launch. When I wake the computer, it launches right away. The Auto Launch is selected in the preferences and everything elese seems to run OK. I didn't have this problem with Retrospect Express 5 in OS 9. Does anyone know what I might try to fix this? Thanks djon
CallMeDave Posted June 25, 2004 Report Posted June 25, 2004 Retrospect can not wake a sleeping Mac. Auto-launch referrs to Retrospect running at script time, but only if the machine is awake. The only software I know of that can wake a sleeping Mac is Apple's own RemoteDesktop application/client pair. Dave
djon Posted June 26, 2004 Author Report Posted June 26, 2004 Dave Thanks for your reply. Quote: Retrospect can not wake a sleeping Mac. That's too bad. I guess I'll just have to schedule the scripts to run when I know the computer will be awake. Cheers djon
