j-polasektamu.edu
Howdy, We are using the latest version of Retrospect multiserver 8.1 running on windows 2008R2 server with 57TB of RAID-6 backup storage mounted as a single volume for backup storage area. We are starting to backup large amount of data (folders containing < 2TB) to disk backup sets. I have not been able to find information on the best way to setup the disk backup set members for large amounts of data. Is it better to create multiple smaller (1TB) members or one huge (3TB to 4TB) member? Does the member size affect restore or grooming times? We plan to do one full backup and then do incremental backups and use grooming of the Disk Sets to keep the size manageable. Has anyone else done this?
