Clients without Admin Privs not updated??

I just tried to update a laptop from the 9.0.2 client to the 10.1 client using the "update" button on the "sources" panel. It didn't work. The log says:

 

 

* agility: first access

*Updating client agility.

(Clients that are logged in without administrator privileges will not be updated.)

*Updating client agility.

(Clients that are logged in without administrator privileges will not be updated.)

 

 

What's up with that?

 

I installed the client with the Apple installer, as specified. How can the client log in "without admin privs??

 

I'm going to ignore this for now, but I am puzzled, and will eventually want to update the client. Do I have to use the "installer"?
