sgonz67
Hey Guys, I'm rebuilding some Retrospect 6 Catalogs in Retrospect 10.1 and I'm getting some -206 errors (bad media, dirty heads) while the tapes are rebuilding the catalogs. Is there anyway to fix this? Retrospect 10.1 is skipping some of the tape contents when it gets this error so the new catalog won't exactly match. I've tried a couple of drives so I'm guessing it is definitely the tape. The tape is an LTO 4 and I'm recreating the catalog using LTO5 drives, should I use LTO 4 drives for this? twickland
An LTO5 drive can read and write LTO4 tapes just fine, and can even read LTO3 tapes; no need for an LTO4 drive. You are probably right in thinking it's the tape member.
