mroesch
Hello, after installing new retrospect clients via Apple Remote Desktop on the client computers, I have to manually switch each client to "on" on every single computer's preference pane. That is time consuming and annoying. The users of the clients are not able to do that, because they have no admin rights. Is there any way to modify the install package so that the clients are automatically active after installation? Best regards Michael
roobieroo
Would love to know this as well. I wish that the upgrade from the machine running Retrospect worked but none of the clients I've tried to push the new software to have worked so I've used ARD instead. roobieroo
I suppose that if you're doing the install via ARD you could issue a UNIX command after the installation to start the client. load /Library/LaunchDaemons/com.retrospect.retroclient.plist should work. mroesch
Oh, of course, I should have figured this out for myself... Thanks for this hint. "lauchctl load /Library/LaunchDaemons/com.retrospect.retroclient.plist" worked for me, together with the admin credentials for the specific machine.
