Retrospect 9 - Eject volume after

Recommended Posts

hello,

we just update our Retrospect to version 9 and a problem arises in the management of mounted volumes.

For each volume, a connection is created on the server, and as we have many volumes, we will exceed our license number of connection (Xinet server).

Is there a way to eject the mounted volumes after the backup?

Or run a script that could do this?

We use version 9.0.2 (107) on Mac OS 10.7.5

Thank you very much.

Actually the Single Server version allows you to back only one server whether that server is a client or the host machine. If you install Retrospect on a non-server OS the Single Server version will allow you to backup one server as a client. You can also buy additional server licenses individually without having to upgrade to the Multi-Server version.

thank you for your responses.

I think I do not understand the different versions…

I have the 5 desktop client installed on a non-server 10.7.5 MacPro.

I just want to backup some share points hosted by a xinet server (Suze Entreprise sever v10 and soon V11).

It works fine with my Retrospect 6… It works to with Retrospect 9 but the volumes management is really different and take a license by share…

What is the difference with the server version in my case?

Thank you

ans sorry my poor english…
