bgollands
Apologies if I missed a discussion of this. Am trying to get my Retro settings, incl. scripts, from my old laptop with Retro 9 to a new one with the same Retro version. Can't seem to find where these are stored. Any ideas? Thanks. Daniels
You need to copy over the config files. Just use the knowledge base and look up "moving to a new computer".
bgollands
Thanks, Daniels -- I thought that was it, but they weren't showing up. I think it was something about removing the server from the old Mac and setting up a new local one. At any rate, it's all working now! (Have been using Retrospect since the early 90's and must admit to having a little trouble adjusting to the new post-6 interface, but at least moving settings seems to be relatively unchanged...) Thanks again.
Daniels
When moving the config files you need to make sure the engine is stopped otherwise it will continue to use the old ones.
prl
When moving the config files you need to make sure the engine is stopped otherwise it will continue to use the old ones. And it will probably overwrite any new ones that you've copied in place while the engine was running.
