443ed5f5-ffbb-4e77-9c25-7b41c3d52f71
Hi I read that v9 will read v6 backups so I downloaded and installed v9. MacPro dual intel 2.66 Ghz, 10GB RAM, Atto UL5D scsi card. However when i insert a V6 tape, it says "Content Unrecognised". I know the tapes are OK because they are recognised by V6 running on a dual G5 machine. Unfortuanetly this crashes after a few minutes of trying to rebuild the catalog. V6 on my dual Intel machine does not see my Sony AIT-3 drive so that does not seem to be an option either ;( Can anyone offer any help or suggestions? Thanks Steve

Daniels
Do you have V9 and V6 running on the same machine? If so does V6 see the tape drive after stopping the V9 engine in System Preferences? It sounds like the tapes may be damaged and even though they are appearing which means the header information is good but the rest of the tape may be bad.
