Help - changed IP address

I'm running Retrospect Desktop 6.0 on a 2 computer home network to back up both machines. I had to change the IP addresses of both machines for reasons unrelated to Retrospect (long story). When I went to backup last night, Retrospect couldn't find the client on the network. I pinged the client machine from Terminal and the network connection is fine.

 

How do I inform the Retrospect server of the client's new IP address?

I think all you need to do is to delete your current client.. then look for the same client again....

 

Retrospect should find the client at the new IP address and you should be able to back up to your old back up sets with no problems...

 

at least this worked for me
