salguod
I recently bought 2 Western Digital MyBook Live (MBL) NAS drives, one for storage of my home network data the other, so I thought, for backing up that data. Trouble is the bundled WD software (ironically named 'Smartware') won't do incremental, compressed backups from one MBL to another. It will only do what amounts to mirroring. I've used Retrospect 6.5 in my former data storage & backup solution (ironically again, it came bundled with a WD USB drive) and it worked well. I've installed 6.5 as a test on my Vista laptop and it seems that it will do what I want. The scheduler won't run in Vista, however, and it completely locked up my Win7 64 machine, so I'm considering buying an upgrade. Will the new version do what I need, backup from one MBL NAS to another?
