lemadden
In Retrospect 9.01 for Macintosh, I have an activity that has been "running" since May 16!! I cannot get it to pause nor stop, and cannot remove it. How do I get this to go away??? I have tried pausing all to no avail. Thanks, Lisa

twickland
Have you tried to stop the Retrospect Engine from its System Preferences pane? If the engine doesn't then stop after a half hour or so, I would go ahead and kill the RetroEngine process in Terminal or Activity Monitor.
lemadden
Hi, thanks for quick response. I was reading your post to another user and was going to try that as well. Have not tried to stop from the pref pane, just the console which did not work :-( I'm new to using Retrospect and everything is a fire! lemadden
Hi again, Okay, stopped the engine, rebooted the server, and the "stuck" activity was GONE. Yay. Thanks for your help!! Lisa
137491ABC7D58DE1E040000A2A666149
I have this problem to, on a fairly regular basis. I can not always stop the engine - if there are other back threads running normally that I don't want to abort. I'd really like Retrospect to address the root cause of this, or give me a way to 'force' a particular thread to die.
