Client 9.0.2 (102) install failure on Lion 10.7.4

After upgrading from Leopard to Lion Mac OS X 10.7.4, a new install of Retrospect Client (9.0.2 (102)) repeatedly fails.

 

In System Preferences the Retrospect Client cannot be enabled.

I have noticed that the install program DOES NOT ask for a password during the process of installation. Previously, under Leopard, the Retrospect Client app was installed.

 

I have used the Uninstall OS X Client script and then re-installed Retrospect Client, also without success.

I then used the method of the pubic key also without success.

 

The log file shows that Retrospect Client keeps crashing.

I have noticed in particular the line that says, "Installer.app is not entitled for system.install.apple-software"

1) Uninstall the client software

2) Go to /Library/Preferences and delete the retroclient.state file

3) Re-install the client (it will now ask for a password)

 

**NOTE** The Retrospect 9 client MUST be uninstalled before you can delete the retroclient.state file.
