heikkilae Posted January 17, 2012 Report Share Posted January 17, 2012 Hi I just completed an inplace upgrade from 7.6 to 7.7 and it has lost all my settings. It appears that retrospect performed a new install and not an upgrade. How do I get my old settings back? I need backup sets, clients etc... Richy_Boy Posted January 19, 2012 Report Share Posted January 19, 2012 There's a file called Config77.dat which contains all those settings. There is also Config77.bak which is a copy of that file, which I guess was a work-around put in place to recover when the config file corrupted (which it used to do often!). If you have a backup of that file, copy it into the All Users or ProgramData/Retrospect folder and restart Retrospect and everything should be back as it was. If you don't have a copy of that file, then you need to rebuild everything from scratch... Richard ps.
