836a57e4-6dd1-4c05-9e82-8bc582b5384a Posted October 26, 2011 Report Share Posted October 26, 2011 It is hard to get used to backup sets because I used Backup MyPC before where you can explicitely choose if you want incremental/differential backups. So I wonder how one should implement the Grandfather-father-son principle by using backup sets. For now I have five plans called Woche (german for week) 1 to Woche 5. So I make a recycle backup on BluRay Media every Sunday (Father) and a backup to new segment each from Monday - Saturday on DVD-RAM as I want the sons to be differential rather than incremental. After the first week I do the same but with the plan "Woche 2" (week 2) and so on. I wonder if this is the right way to do this. Please share your thoughts.
