I have reconfigured the PCI card and upgrade the LTO-4 Firmware. Quantum and ATTO have help. But I still have one annoying problem. When I load a tape retrospect says it is running it and that is where it stays forever. A apple technician has suggested changing the lead between the tape drive and pci card but the fault does not stem from the cable as far as I can see. If I stop the retrospect engine and then restart it, it see the tape. Manually doing this each day is getting me down. Has anyone had any similar problems and if so what action have you taken. The Quantum LTO-4 tape drive and pci interface work well from a pc, it seems it is Retrospect that is the issue.
