wstahn
Hello, I have a strange issue here with Retrospect 7.7 Single Server (German version) running on Windows Storage Server 2008: I recently purchased the Open Files Option. But with this option active, no files at all were backed up anymore (from the server itself to a disk backup set). Even when trying a recycling backup, it only states "preparing for open file backup" for a while, then doing a snapshot and finished, albeit there were almost 1TB of files to be backed up. No errors in the protocol, just "No files need to be copied"... With the "open files" option disabled, it starts backing up all files as expected. What's going on here? Thanks for any hints! Regards, Wolfgang
wstahn
... the local folder to be backed up is part of a DFS share. Could this be the problem? Doesnt Retrospect support backing up DFS shares? Wolfgang
gnewman
Wondering the same thing. Did you ever get an answer about this?
bh
I'm having this exact problem with DFS shares - worked with 7.6 but not with 7.7. Does anuone have a solution yet?
