minkhollow Posted May 31, 2002 Report Share Posted May 31, 2002 I just switch to Retrospect 5.0.205 running on an OSX G4 on a mixed Mac/PC network. Storage Device is Ecrix VXA-1 Tape Drive I'm backing up Subfolders of Win2K Clients. Windows Clients are running: 5.6.112. On 2 different Win2K Clients in the last 3 days, I have received the : "Trouble reading files, error 519 (network communication failed)." And the windows machines were completely frozen requiring hitting the power button. The Windows machine with the error is frozen with the dimmed screen. It no longer responds to mouse moves or keyboard presses and no longer appears in the other PCs windows workgroup. I am pretty sure this has to do with the retrospect upgrade, since I have not seen this problem ever before and now I'm seeing it on multiple machines. Anybody know what's the deal?
