und85 Posted May 29, 2002 Report Share Posted May 29, 2002 I am running Retrospect Back up Express 5.6 with the 2.8 drivers on my Win XP Professional 1.8 GHZ P4 PC . The problem I have is that my Plextor CDRW drive (model listed on the Hardware compatibility list) spins constantly whenever there is a Retrospect Back up disk installed. If I put any other disk (or none) that is not being intentionally used by the PC, the drive does not spin. I find this noise to be annoying and I'm afraid I might wear out the drive prematurely.
