tienbing
I recently purchased my WD dual-option External USB HD after replacing my HD in the PC w/o having it properly backed up. When I installed my Retrospect backup I thought it would be better to backup my entire PC HD rather than just the ‘My Docs’ as suggested by default, now I realize that was not needed. I have searched the knowledge base without result to find how to completely erase or format (if necessary) my Retrospect so that I can backup only the files needed. I am using Retrospect Express 6.5.342. Please advise.
David777
Hello MrNovice. To format your external drive, go to my computer, right click on your external drive, select format, check enable compression aand quick format, click start. Also in retrospect, go to configure>backup sets, highlight your backup sets and select forget. Now you can start fresh. Thanks, RetroRespect
tienbing
Thank you, I think the 'configure>backup sets' is probably the solution I need.
