Error 1118

Hi,

For several months I have been using Retrospect Express with great results until recently.My daily saves to the external drive are interrupted by an error 1118.In reviewing the help section I am advised to relaunch Retrospect Express.Does this mean that I reintroduce the software and risk losing data?I have not lost any previous data,only no new files are saved from my hard drive.Any suggestions would be most appreciated.
