harald_r
Hello, our Retrospect Backup 6.1 on a Mac OS X server backs up several OS X clients using Backup Server scripts. Everything runs smoothly, except that I can't seem to manage this: For power saving reasons I would like the server to be shut down from, say, 2 am to 7 am. All server / backup activities may run between 7 am - 2 am. So I set the OS X scheduling / shutdown-restart prefs, and the scheduling timeframes in Retrospect accordingly, but it doesn't work - Retrospect invariably stops the server from shutting down. (" 'Retrospect' prevented the computer from..." or the like). Setting the look-ahead time to minimum value doesn't help either. What am I missing here? I really would like to - quit every Retrospect acivity short before 2 am - quit Retrospect, no questions asked - then shut down server computer at 2 am - restart it at 7 am - then Retrospect should re-enter Backup Server mode and do its thing... Thanks in advance for any input!! cheers, fxdj
