videogen Posted May 17, 2002 Report Share Posted May 17, 2002 I am installing the latest build of Retrospect Server. When I choose devices, it shows the status of the driver as "reserved". Does anyone know what is wrong? When I insert a tape, Retrospect does not recognize that the drive has done anything. Thanks for your help. Scott R. AmyJ Posted May 17, 2002 Report Share Posted May 17, 2002 If Retrospect reports a tape drive having a status of "reserved" while using Windows 2000, try going to device manager and changing "Device Usage" to "Do not use this device (disabled)" and then restart.
