kevinbuckley70
I'm running an automated backup script under (W-XP SP2) & I want it to run silently in the background (every hour). I can't seem to find this option anywhere & currently, everytime the script executes, it loads the full Retrospect executable, maximised on the desktop & leaves it there when it's finished. How can I make the Retrospect script run silently? Regards, Kevin
kevinbuckley70
Also, it seems that, unless I'm logged-in (I'm the administrator but other family members have their own logins) Retrospect doesn't run. I thought Retrospect scripts were scheduled to run as an NT service? All the other applications I have running as NT services (like my local mail "post office") work OK regardless of who is logged-in: they start at bootup. What am I doing wrong? kevinbuckley70
This question was answered already in the 7.0 Professional forum (I originally posted it there by mistake). The answer (in case you're interested) is that you can't run Retrospect in the background & you have to manually close it after execution.
