If you are running a Dell PC and have a Philips DVD8631 HH 16X DVD+/-RW, do NOT use the latest firmware (06/10/2005) on Dell's site if you use Retrospect 7. My backups were running fine with Retrospect until I updated the DVD burner firmware and then I got the following error as soon as Retrospect went to the drive "error -103 (unexpected beginning of media)". I tried different DVDs, different vendor DVDs, etc. and I still got the error every time. As soon as I down rev'ed the DVD burner firmware to the 01/11/2005 version. Everything worked again fine.
