jwarthman
Hello! I have Retrospect 4.3 on a Macontosh (OS 9) set to backup a number of client machines (Macs & PC) each night. It's been working well for quite some time. I recently added a TiBook and installed its Retrospect client software. The problem is that each night, Retrospect only "sees" the TiBook if it's plugged into Ethernet, not if it's connected via Airport. I know the Airport connection should work because I'm backing up an Airport-connected iMac this way. FWIW, I have IPNetRouter set to serve DHCP addresses on my LAN. The TiBook gets a different IP address on Airport than it does on Ethernet. That seems to be confusing Retrospect. Also FWIW, I'm running OS X on the TiBook. I have the OS X client plugin (1.0.428) installed on the OS 9 Mac running Retrospect. I don't think this is so much an OS X issue as it is a DHCP/Retrospect issue. I'm eager to get this fixed so that Retrospect will "notice" the TiBook regardless of which IP address it shows up with. Thanks in Advance! -- Jim
